These video covers the basics of the system usage:
Logging In
Creating Leads, Clients and Applications
Converting a Lead to a Client
Running canned Reports
Overview of the Dashboard
NOTES – 12/19/2020: *The video states erroneously that Click-To-Call isn’t working in Firefox. It does work correctly with MSICRM. **The function of adding a Spouse as a Client is now automated in the Lead Convert process.
MSICRMDEV – import LEAD and CLIENT records gives errors, requires all leads to have emails, or run in 2-step process of import list with emails 1st, and 2nd import list w/o emails.
MSICRMDEV – minor label changes for msicrm
MSICRMDEV – From Client Mass Update – remove unused fields Sync to Outlook, Application Role, Reports To, Portal User Type
MSICRMDEV – make username in profile noneditable to anyone but admin
MSICRM has implemented acceptance of Bitcoin (on-chain) and Bitcoin via Lightning Network (off-chain) in our shopping cart. This has been provided by Morton Business Consulting.
Choosing which payment method is more about speed of the transaction as well as total price of the purchase. Bitcoin on Lightning is very fast – takes less than 30 seconds to confirm the purchase. Paying Bitcoin on-chain takes on average of 10 minutes for the transaction to confirm.
If your total is less than $500, use Lightning. It’s fast and inexpensive. If your total is more than $500. use Bitcoin. It may take longer but there won’t be a technical issue with liquidity on the Lightning Network.
Please note that the NAME field is not needed in Leads imports but is required for Clients imports. The NAME field references Account Name. An Account Name is generally an umbrella account over multiple clients such as a household (husband and wife) or a company. Some formats of the NAME field: Smith, Joe (if individual) Smith Joe and Susie (if married) Joe Smith Co (if company)
IMPORTANT: Once you get to STEP 4 of the import process you MUST choose EMAIL ADDRESS in Available Fields on the right side and drag it over to the Fields to Check on the left side before proceeding with the Import Now button. Otherwise you will get numerous errors on the screen and only a partial import of records.
Corrected a mailhandler issue that caused some clients to experience internal email issues and editing not to function correctly.
Product_Type has been added to the Client view to match Leads and Applications.
Validated 2FA for all users – enable 2FA in your user profile and be sent the 2FA code via email
Modified Application module to add fields Premium and Premium Period to provide more data instead of the prior field of monthly premium.
Updated terms of service and privacy policy to be on one form instead of embedded links
Cleaned cache of all client instances
We are currently working on two issues of a moderate high priority including 1. Google Calendar Sync and 2. Password Reset workflow.
Google Calendar Sync is currently NOT working on any instance due to a Google file update that is to be implemented into MSICRM during the next service pack late October-early November. 1/5/2022 – This was working as of December 1, 2021.
Password Reset workflow is allowing the password to be updated but is not allowing a ! (exclamation point) as a special character but the wording just states that a special character is needed. The workaround is to use another special character (@#$). Further, the password reset workflow is also sending clients an email with a system generated password at the same time that the update occurs causing some confusion. Use the password you created as the system generated password is invalid.
Added Middle Initial text box for primary client and spouse to the database for Leads and Clients.
Added a Language field to Leads and Clients and have listed English and Spanish. You can pick both by holding the control (CTRL) button while clicking both choices with the mouse.
Cleaned up Clients to match Leads for Spouse First Name and Spouse Last Name.
We will be demo’ing MSICRM for the InsureTech Connect community at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas, NV from Oct 5-6 at the Expo. Come visit us from 9am to 6pm and pick up some MSICRM swag. #insuretechconnect #msicrm
We have moved our servers over the weekend from the msicrm.com domain to companyname.msicrmsites.com. Change the companyname to your own companyname from the previous naming structure and login as you did before.
If your role allows you to export data, you have access to download lists of Leads, Clients and Application data for backup and/or external needs.
Click on any of the lists from the Sales menu and functionality works the same.
Bring up the lists for Leads, Clients or Applications.
Click the button that shows an image of a checkbox. It’s at the top of the first column of data.
Select your quanity – typically it is all of the records…
Click the Bulk Action button immediately to the right and then click on Export.
It then generates a CSV file for you to use.
In Chrome, it adds the file to the bottom bar of the browser screen. In Firefox, it adds the file to the download button typically in the row up top in the address bar. Or bring up your File Explorer and find it in Downloads.
We do not recommend sending bulk email out of the MSICRM system. This is due to the potential of being blacklisted by sending out bulk email when you are not a true email provider. We recommend using the integrated service such as, Mailchimp.com (and as of Summer 2021, SendGrid). SendGrid (from what we’ve been told has a stronger privacy policy than MailChimp – although MailChimp is very user friendly – so you need to balance your wants and needs with the two similar yet different companies and their products.
Mainly this is due to technical issues in email spam specifications in the email server world.
Bottom line is the digital powers that be will blacklist servers that send out bulk emails unless they are dedicated email servers. Mailchimp has all the functionality you would want to create email campaigns and has a generous free level (up to 2000 contacts) and paid levels. MSICRM has the integration functionality built-in to send newly created leads to Mailchimp. This includes First Name, Last Name, Email Address and Date of Birth (for sending birthday greeting automatically).
We need an API key from Mailchimp to enable this connection.
Copy the API key and send it us and we will get it installed.
While you are waiting on our install of the API key, you need to also build the BIRTH_DATE field in Mailchimp.
Click on the Audience button in the left side Index.
Then click on the All Contacts button.
On the next page, click “Settings” and then “Audience Fields and *|MERGE|* tags”.
Click “Add A Field” at the bottom of the screen.
Select “Birthday” and click “Save Changes”.
It will create the following entry. The marked fields MUST be edited.
Change the “Untitled” birthday field to “Birthday” and change the “MMERGE#” filed to read “BIRTH_DATE”.
Save it and that’s it. Once we plug in the API key, test the connection by creating a lead in MSICRM and verify by checking your Audience list in Mailchimp.
We can provide a website that you can update and change as you want. We provide you the foundation and hand you the keys. Our dynamic templates allow your site to be lively and interactive. Here is an example site.
Your website will be customized with your pictures and your products/descriptions. These are five-page sites (you can always add more) that include your Home page, About, Products, Blog and Contact pages. The contact form sends data to your MSICRM instance so you can followup with your leads. The site is secure with an https protocol and backups are provided automatically.
Once signed up, we send you a questionnaire to help us build your site. You will work with a designer to flesh out the site for layout and pictures and content.
The initial setup and hosting for the year is included in the price. This includes up to five hours of design and consulting time with additional time billed at our current hourly rate. Also includes domain name registration and unlimited emails, and tech support via email. Subsequent years are billed at current renewal rates (currently $150 per year) on your renewal date.
